DeLand branch renovation project

Temporarily closed until fall 2026

The DeLand branch of the Office of Will Roberts - Tax Collector, located on the first floor of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Building, 123 W. Indiana Ave., is closed temporarily for renovation.

During construction, driver license and tag and title services are not available at this location.

The branch is anticipated to reopen fall 2026. This timeline is optimistic, and we will work diligently to meet it.

What services remain open?

The Property Tax Department and concealed weapon services remain open during construction for non-cash payments.

Renew online: Complete eligible transactions online and pick up in the branch of your choice via volusiatax.gov/online.

Why we're renovating

The DeLand main office currently processes nearly twice the weekly average number of transactions compared to other branches. This renovation will modernize the facility to better serve our growing community and improve operational efficiency.

Project information

The County of Volusia is funding and managing the renovation project, as Florida statute requires the county to provide an office for the tax collector in the county seat.

The total project cost is estimated at $1.2 million, including design and construction.
