Will Roberts serves as Volusia County's Tax Collector, becoming the county's first elected tax collector in 50 years when he took office in 2021. His leadership is guided by a clear mission: improving the way customers experience government services through accessibility, efficiency, and accountability.
Will led the successful transition of driver license services from the State of Florida to the Office of the Tax Collector, integrating DMV services into all six of the county's six branches. He also expanded customer access by opening a new branch in Deltona, Volusia County's most populous city, and added concealed weapon license application processing to further streamline services.
Will oversees the annual collection of more than $1.1 billion in property taxes and more than 1 million customer transactions across all services. His approach emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and community education, ensuring residents receive dependable and modern public services.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Will holds a master's degree in public administration, a bachelor's degree in business, and an associate degree in business. He has earned the Certified Florida Collector (CFC) designation and serves as vice president of the Florida Tax Collectors Association. An active Rotarian, he also volunteers in his faith community.
Will and his wife, Jennifer, have two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, visiting the beach, and participating in 5K runs.
